Dr. McIntosh is a Family-Oriented, Empathetic Practitioner that loves the life with which he is blessed. His lovely wife is an Orthodontist and together they are so excited to call Abilene their home. James received his Dental School training at The University of the Pacific. Upon graduation he attended a GPR at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation center where he gained valuable experience treating children with special needs. After his GPR was completed, he returned to the University of the Pacific for his Endodontic residency. Following completion of his residency he then followed his bride to Connecticut practicing Endodontics while she completed her Orthodontic Residency. James has always enjoyed western movies and has wanted to be a Texan ever since.
Dr. McIntosh loves saving teeth with conventional endodontic treatment, but he loves microsurgical endodontic procedures saving teeth that might otherwise be extracted without his surgical expertise. His philosophy centers on empathetic and respectful treatment of your valued patient, making sure they feel comfortable and understood throughout their treatment. His dedication extends into charity organizations such as SCOPE and Mission of Mercy serving underserved communities.
Outside of the office, Dr. McIntosh loves spending quality time with his wife and family. He loves all college sports, exploring cultures through their cuisine, grilling, travel and always new restaurants.
